What more can you say about both
Fender and Marshall amplifiers. They have defined the sounds of rock, country and blues for over fifty years. We always keep plenty of the latest great sounding Marshall and Fender guitar and bass amps in our store, as well as the occasional
used or vintage piece as well, for you to check out. |

Many years ago I heard
Line 6 amplifiers at the NAMM trade show in California. Being a real tube amp fan, I was amazed at the classic tones that were coming from this solid state amp. It was obvious to me that Line 6 had taken non-tube amps to a whole new level with their modeling technology. We have carried their amps, as well as most everything else they make, ever since then. Come in and try these great amps and decide for yourself.

Wholly molly; I couldn’t believe it when I heard that artist/producer extraordinaire, Daniel
Lanois, was playing in a small hotel just outside of Guelph at the Maryhill Hotel. I had to check it out and sure enough there he was with all this great vintage guitar and sound gear. He was playing through a Vox AC30 most of the night till it blew up. Typical overheating of those historic Class A Vox amps. It sounded absolutely thick and creamy, just incredible, right up until melt down. We have just started selling some of the new offerings from
Vox, (thankfully more stable it appears), which have some classic as well as modern tones including built in digital effects. We all took turns
rockin’ out on the first one we received….. thumbs up all around!

It’s pretty hard to top the sound and feel of a great sounding vintage tube amp turned up to the point where it just starts to sing. The problem is that most of the vintage amps are starting to show their age and unfortunately are not reliable enough for the gigging musician. Players and collectors alike are reluctant to do major restorations since the collectability and hence the value of the amp is greatly reduced. Fortunately there are a handful of dedicated amp ‘nuts’ who are hand building great sounding tube amps. I was on a mission to find one of these lines for our store and I traveled and listened to just about every one of them. For a guitar player like myself, who grew up playing on classic amps such as Fender’s renown 1965 ‘blackface’ deluxe reverb, I was pretty excited, to say the least, when I heard George Allesandro’s
Working Dog line of amplifiers. No channel switching or digital effects here; just a great classic tone machine. If you are a player on a quest to find that great vintage tone amp that digs in just right, you should definatly check out these amps. Big additional bonuses are the great pricing for a point to point hand built tube amp and the extremely low weight, so it’s not a backbreaker at the end of the night. George has a number of configurations to choose from, including ‘class A’, and we try to keep a good cross section of these amps at all times.
